Who is The Hat Lady? I started this business 22 years ago after my
daughter was born. I was working in Portland, Maine as an RN, and
I did not like taking my daughter to day care. So, I found a way
to earn an income at home. I started out doing small, local shows
and have grown over the years to include this web site, and larger, quality
shows that take me up and down the east coast.
A few years ago my husband's job brought us to South Carolina. We
now live outside Charleston and love the chance to learn a new region of
the country. I still consider myself the Hat Lady of Maine, and have
not changed the web address. My family has been in Maine for 300+
years! You can take me out of Maine, but you can't take the Maine
out of me!
I work with high quality acrylic yarn that provides both warmth and comfort.
Customers frequently report that my hats are the only ones their children
will keep on their heads.
